>>>****EXPECT A 2-3 WEEK LEAD TIME BEFORE THIS ITEM SHIPS OUT****<<<
These limited, handmade leather patches feature a blown-up (XL) “La Muerte” artwork you may recognize from Ed’s Manifesto.
From Ed:
”Death cards have a long history. From the 1930s, at least two gangsters were assassinated and left with aces in their hands. One of the unidentified criminals with an ace of spades is depicted on the cover of the Burton B. Turkus book Murder Inc.: then later on in Vietnam the Ace of spades was used as a psychological device by leaving it on the dead enemy combatants.
Our version of it was a Lotería playing card of the traditional Mexican board game of "La Muerte" (death). A few things we added to it in the far as symbolism are the bound hands In commemoration of some of the our people getting captured and the retribution that followed. The arrow in the foot to symbolize and injury sustained yet a drive to take one more step in-spite of it. The seven rays of awareness, seven sins and, being one 7 days a week, the day of rest among a few other things. The scythe pointing backwards as a reminder that she is always behind us. “
The patches are embossed with the image and have hook fastener stitched to the back for use on any loop fastener panel. The hook fastener panel is not glued to the leather on the rear of the patch, so the end-user can cut a slit(s) and utilize the patch as a covert way to carry spare cash or other items.
Be advised that due to these being made from cowhide, a natural material, there is variance in the grain and scratches, scars, fat wrinkles, etc. may be found on the material.
