Our paddle strops are made from solid red oak and covered on both sides with leather. One side will have the flesh side of the leather visible and will be impregnated with green stropping compound. This side will be for general stropping, maintenance, and removing wire edges after grinding and/or sharpening. The other side will have the grain side of the leather visible and is intended to be used for a final pass after stropping with the flesh/compound side. It will polish and clean off the stropping compound. The strops feature a handle thats ergonomic which has a hole if you wish to add a lanyard or hang on a nail.
