H. Brindley Plough (Plow) Gauge

$350.00

H. Brindley marked plough (plow) gauge. Brindley was a British tool maker and worked out of Sheffield, England just as J. and T. Dixon did. The body is marked 1914 and the blade is marked 1915. That coupled with the fact that it is also marked by the British military broad arrow and that it was sourced out of Greece, means it was almost certainly in military service during WW1. It has a light colored rosewood (sapwood) handle and a blade that is in very nice shape with almost all of its original size intact. It is marked with Imperial markings and will cut strips up to 5”. Blade is razor sharp and ready to work.
